How long do lash extensions last?

 

Lash extensions will last 4-6 weeks with proper care. It’s recommended to come back every 2-3 weeks for fills as your lashes do grow and she’d just like the rest of the hair on our bodies. Each lash has its own growth cycle ranging from 30-60 days. 

 

How do I maintain my lash extensions?

 

To maintain your lash extensions and get the most out of your lash experience, it is required to use proper lash aftercare. This includes washing your lashes with a specific lash formulated wash everyday. Brushing your lashes daily is also recommended. This will all be shown to you and gone over at your lash appointment.

 

How are lash extensions attached?

 

Lash extensions are attached using a professional medical grade adhesive. The main ingredient being Cyanoacylate. The adhesive the studio uses is black in color.

 

Will lash extensions ruin my natural lashes?

 

No, lash extensions will not ruin your natural lashes if applied and maintained properly. Damage can be caused by rubbing, picking, or pulling at the lash extensions. Improper removal of makeup and cleanliness can also cause damage. 

 

Are lash extensions painful?


No, you will not feel your lash extensions at all. In fact, you probably forget they are even there!

 

Can I wear my contacts during the lash extension procedure?

 

Yes, if you are comfortable wearing your contacts while having your eyes closed for 1-3 hours. Your eyes will be closed the entire procedure.

 

Can I workout with my lash extensions?

 

Yes, wash your lashes directly after to remove any sweat that may have fallen into your lashes to prevent compromising the bond of adhesive.

 

Can I swim in the pool or ocean with my lash extensions?

 

Yes, I recommend rinsing with fresh water until you are able to wash them properly removing any chemicals or salt that may compromise the bond of the adhesive.

 

Can I wear mascara on my lash extensions?

 

No, mascara will compromise the bond of the adhesive and you will experience lashes falling off prematurely. I promise you won’t need it!

 

Can I remove my lashes myself?

 

No, it is recommended to have a professional remove your lash extensions if you no longer wish to have them.

 

How do I prepare for my appointment?

 

It is strongly encouraging arriving on time, with no makeup or moisturizer on. Please do not drink caffeine before your appointment as it will cause your eyes to be jittery.

 

What are the lash extensions made out of?

 

The extensions are made out of a high quality fiber called Polybutylene Terephthalate also known as PBT. The material is very soft to the touch. They are synthetic.

 

Can you describe the application process?

 

Here at Lash Locks Studio, you will be comfortably laying down with your eyes closed while the lash extensions are being applied one at a time to your individual natural lash. There is no discomfort or pain during the procedure. In fact, most clients find it so relaxing they fall asleep!
